Demethylation Inhibitor (DMI)
Inhibits CYP51 (sterol 14α-demethylase), blocking ergosterol biosynthesis in fungal cells. Without sufficient ergosterol, the fungal cell membrane loses structural integrity and functional capacity, halting growth and reproduction.
