WARNING
Sodium Channel Modulator
Bifenthrin binds to voltage-gated sodium channels in insect nerve cell membranes, holding them open and preventing repolarization. Continuous nerve depolarization causes repetitive nerve firing, convulsions, paralysis, and death. Type I pyrethroid — does not produce the characteristic T-syndrome (salivation, choreoathetosis) associated with Type II compounds.

Medium resistance risk. Pyrethroid resistance via metabolic detoxification (P450) and target-site mutations (kdr) is widespread in many insect species globally. Avoid repeated sole reliance on pyrethroids — rotate with IRAC Group 28 or 4A products.
