Quinone Outside Inhibitor + Succinate Dehydrogenase Inhibitor

Azoxystrobin (FRAC 11) inhibits mitochondrial respiration at complex III (cytochrome bc1) by binding to the quinone outside (Qo) site, blocking electron transfer. Benzovindiflupyr (FRAC 7) independently inhibits complex II (succinate dehydrogenase). The combination provides dual-site inhibition of the mitochondrial electron transport chain.

Resistance Management

Medium resistance risk overall. QoI resistance (G143A mutation) is widespread in dollar spot and other turfgrass pathogens; the SDHI component helps offset this. Do not rely on QoI activity alone — treat as an SDHI program with QoI support.
