Imidacloprid
Neonicotinoid (Chloronicotinyl)

CAUTION
Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor Competitive Modulator
Imidacloprid acts as a competitive modulator of insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR). It binds irreversibly to nAChR, causing continuous nerve stimulation, convulsions, paralysis, and death. Selective toxicity to insects over mammals results from structural differences in their respective nAChR subunit compositions.

Medium resistance risk. Neonicotinoid resistance is well documented in many agricultural pest species. Rotate with non-neonicotinoid insecticides (IRAC Groups 28, 3A, 5) in annual grub management programs to delay resistance development.
