CAUTION
Ecdysone Receptor Agonist
Halofenozide mimics the insect molting hormone 20-hydroxyecdysone, binding to ecdysone receptors and triggering a premature, incomplete molt. The resulting lethal molt traps larvae between instars — they attempt to shed their cuticle but fail to complete the process, leading to death from desiccation or starvation. Selective for Lepidoptera and Coleoptera larvae.
