Mode of Action

FRAC11

Quinone Outside Inhibitor (QoI)

Inhibits mitochondrial respiration by binding to the quinone outside (Qo) site of cytochrome bc1 (complex III), blocking electron transfer from ubiquinol to the iron-sulfur protein. This halts ATP production and prevents spore germination and mycelial growth. Activity is primarily protective.

Resistance Management

High resistance risk. QoI resistance via the G143A point mutation in cytochrome b is widespread in Clarireedia jacksonii (dollar spot) and many other turfgrass pathogens. Do not rely on solo QoI applications for dollar spot. Always tank mix or rotate with a non-QoI, non-SDHI fungicide.
