Synthetic Auxin

Quinclorac mimics natural auxin (IAA) activity, causing uncontrolled cell elongation, abnormal growth, and ethylene-mediated tissue collapse in susceptible weeds. Crabgrass is particularly sensitive due to its metabolism of quinclorac to toxic cyanide-producing compounds. Provides post-emergent control of established crabgrass.

Resistance Management

Low resistance risk in turfgrass. Post-emergent crabgrass resistance to quinclorac has been documented in agronomic crops; monitor for reduced efficacy. Avoid sole reliance on quinclorac for large crabgrass infestations.
