Multi-site Contact + Plant Defense Inducer
Chlorothalonil provides multi-site contact activity via thiol reactivity. Acibenzolar-S-methyl (ASM) is a functional analog of salicylic acid that activates systemic acquired resistance (SAR) in the plant, priming natural defense pathways — not a direct fungitoxic mode of action.
